One of the questions I get asked the most: “How do you switch planners without your whole life falling apart?”
“Playing with” planners has always made me happy, and switching planners makes me even happier. Something about setting up a new planner brings me a feeling of peace and accomplishment.
After a lot of thought, I identified five things that I do that make switching planners more fun and less stress. I hope you find it helpful!
The Summary:
Stay in the same size and format and just switch covers.
Maintain structured reviews.
Leave your “old” planner set up.
Use the same system in every planner.
Keep long-term projects and plans in a digital calendar and/or planning app.
You’ve seen my setup… now here is how the system itself works.
The system keeps things going smoothly and efficiently. Regardless of what inserts or what size or what kind of planner I’m using, my system is always the same.
In this video, I walk you through how all of the pieces of my planner work together to keep me organized and on-task.
If using your Daily Pages as an Inbox doesn’t work for you, BrandyMichellePlans has a great idea regarding an Inbox Notebook.
Autumn is finally here! (I’m ignoring the fact that it’s currently hot and muggy outside. If I ignore it, it might go away.)
Planner Happiness for me is a brown planner in the autumn. It just is. Sometimes it’s rings, sometimes it’s strings. Right now, it’s rings.
